Set up your shot

• Find a quiet place to film -- speak slowly, loudly, and clearly. And make sure there’s no background noise behind you (if there is, consider using headphones or a headset with a microphone built in).

• Look for a bright and well-lit place to film -- ensure that you/your subject is brighter than the background. This might be as simple as opening the blinds, and standing in front of a white wall behind you.

• Frames matter -- hold your camera horizontally, and center your face in the middle of the screen (just as the app guides you to do). Do your best to keep the camera steady (this might mean having someone else hold the camera for you).

Tell your story

• You are the only person who can tell your story -- and we want to hear it. Tell us the TOP reason you, personally, are excited about moving away from dirty fossil fuels. Here’s a few ideas to pull from, but of course, feel free to share your thoughts in your own words:

• ACCESS: Everyone deserves access to healthy, affordable, reliable energy.

• AFFORDABILITY: Investing in a renewable energy economy will lower energy costs and bring new, family-sustaining jobs to my community.

• CLIMATE: Climate action will be led locally as cities like mine move away from polluting fossil fuels.

• ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE: The harmful effects of dirty fuels disproportionately affect communities of color and low-income areas

• SAFETY: Dirty fuel projects can catch fire and explode, and have been linked to breathing problems, premature births, and cancer

• WATER: These dirty fuels threaten our clean water

• PROPERTY RIGHTS: Pipelines and infrastructure often seize private land and lower property values

• Keeping fossil fuels in the ground is a critical part of addressing climate change. This can only happen with you and your community.
