THE STATE OF OUR UNION?
Under Trump, Pruitt, Perry & Zinke: POLLUTED
Donald Trump’s takeover of the federal government has put corporate polluters fully in charge of virtually every major position of responsibility for protecting the public from health and environmental threats.
But despite Trump’s unrelenting attacks on climate progress, on clean air and water, and on our public lands and democratic norms, environmental advocates have fought back every step of the way -- and we’re winning the fight for public opinion.
Let’s be clear, though, the scale of the threats we face is so significant that we had to compile a six-part series just to capture the main points:
Part 1: A Series on the Scale of the Threats Trump Poses
Part 2: A Systematic Attack on Science
Part 3: Undermining the Institutions And People Who Protect Us
Part 4: Handing Our Public Lands to Big Oil and Coal
Part 5: Gutting Regulations That Protect the Public
Part 6: Unprecedented Secrecy Shielding Unprecedented Corruption
THE GOOD NEWS:
Trump, and his cabinet and polluter cronies, are decisively losing the battle for public opinion.
Trump’s absolutely worst polling issue is climate change, according to a report card on Donald Trump conducted with by Politico and Morning Consult.
A full 49% of those polled gave Trump a “D” or “F” on the issue of climate change -- higher than any other area.
