We all know how important this election is - and just how much is at stake.
Already we've seen that 2016 is presenting a particularly stark choice to voters. For example, on climate change, some candidates have serious plans to take action - while others won't even admit that climate change is real. Some candidates want to build on policies that safeguard our air and our water, while others want to dismantle those policies and take us backwards to a time when polluters wrote the rules. These aren’t issues only important for those running for president- but for everyone running for state house or for local elected office who can help make sure our communities are safe and clean.
We know that building a strong, inclusive, and diverse movement is critically important to ensure we can stand up to protect the health of every community and every family. That's why we need you.
Today, Sierra Club launched an ad campaign in Nevada and South Carolina - asking citizens to join us and make their voices heard in 2016.
WATCH:
Never before has an election been so important. Not only will it affect the future of our nation and the world - it also will affect the water you drink every day, and the air you breathe.
It affects everyone - from all walks of life, from all political parties - from California to the New York island.
So join us at www.sierraclub.org/voices. Let's roll up our sleeves and get to work. It starts today.
The Sierra Club Voter Education Fund (SCVEF) promotes clean air, clean water, and clean energy by raising them as key issues in 2016 presidential election discussions. SCVEF educates the public about candidate positions, and encourages all candidates to propose strong plans to address climate disruption and environmental degradation.
