Environmental Issues in California
Californians have demonstrated through their responses in opinion polls, their actions at voting polls, and their choices in recreation and business investments that they care about the environment. They don't just care about clean air or clean water. They care about them both, and then some.
Californians want clean, renewable energy, open space, smartly planned cities, better transit options, safer bicycle routes, healthy forests and habitat for wildlife. That's a lot, but it's all possible. More important, it's all necessary for a sustainable state and a thriving planet.
