1-31-24. Twelve happy students from PS 159 in the Bronx got in a van and traveled to New Jersey to learn how to ski/ snowboard for the first time! They first put on their snowsuits, long socks, and gloves. Then they went down to get their rentals. They put on their helmet and grabbed their snowboards and skis. They went to the little mountain to practice how to balance. As 5th grader Alondra says, "At the beginning, we kept falling and then at them middle, all of us learned how to balance on our skis! We kept practicing and practicing until we were all able to go down a path." They rode the Magic Carpet for the first time "the elevator" as they called it. Thanks to so many ICO and CatRock youth leaders- Jonathan, Justin, Angelica, Craig and great PS 159 staff, everyone had a successful day on the slopes!
