We started the day with open circle getting to know the students from various grades. The students were mostly 6th graders with a handful of 7th and 8th graders. After open circle, we went ice-skating. We ended the day with a walk around Hessian Lake. The highlights were watching the kids ice-skate helping one another. They also asked for a more rigorous hike as they are excited for the next trip. One student asked if we could go all the way to the top next time.
