What’s next for the Sierra Club now that we have new leadership? Learn more about the opportunities our new leaders see for the entire organization.
Video Transcript
Sierra Club is a 130-year-old institution and we’re at an incredibly exciting choice point in the organization, a juncture, a crossroads.
We’re absolutely committed to the fight for racial justice, and we see how intrinsically connected that fight is to advancing our climate justice work and on our environmental work.
All of our work depends on grassroots activists and partners, both within our organization and reaching out and engaging people and communities.
In the past, we have not been the ideal partner. So in this new chapter, I think the Sierra Club is building that trust to be able to become better partners in the future.
We have an enormous opportunity to come together, distribute leadership across staff and volunteers, so that we can take on the climate crisis and ensure that we have land, water, and wildlife for all of us to enjoy for generations to come.
