The Angeles Chapter's San Onofre Task Force is working with the Coalition to Decommission San Onofre (CDSO), which has been given official status as a "Party" to intervene in an extensive series of upcoming hearings by the PUC on the issues of costs to ratepayers for the shut down and decommissioning of San Onofre.
CDSO will be represented at the hearings by two of its members: Martha Sullivan, with 20 years as a CPUC staff member, and Ray Lutz, a professional engineer and National Coordinator of Citizen’s Oversight, Inc. As interveners Martha and Ray will be authorized to cross-examine witnesses at the hearings and to put questions to the Commission. This is a crucial element in assuring the public is effectively heard during what might otherwise be an “insider” process.
To support the work of CDSO, we are seeking to raise $3,000 to help defray out-of-pocket expenses for our representatives as they cover several weeks of hearings at CPUC headquarters in San Francisco.
Please join us in this needed task.
