House of Representative Gary Palmer has been appointed to the House Committee on Climate Crisis. Hooray, Alabama has a voice fighting for climate awareness. Only problem with that would be that Palmer is not a believer in climate change. Palmer is one of six Republicans appointed to the bipartisan committee.
That’s not a surprise to some local environmental activists. Palmer was described as a “known climate denier” by the Sierra Club’s Steven Stetson, who called his appointment “further dismaying proof that congressional Republicans have no real plan to take action on what’s confronting us.” BirminghamWatch
