6/28 RESULTS:
SPECIAL NOTE: Results are based on samples collected on Thursday 6/28. Extremely severe thunderstorms came through the area Thursday afternoon after samples were collected. The heavy rain that those storms brought will worsen water quality compared to the results seen below, especially in creeks. As such, please use extreme caution recreating this weekend, and also be aware of floating debris, like trees, in the lakes. Additional rain over the weekend could continue to deteriorate conditions.
MODERATELY HIGH E.coli was detected at the following locations:
- Big Canoe Creek at Highway 231 Bridge in Ashville
- Coldwater Creek Memorial Park
HIGH E. coli was detected at the following locations:
- Attalla City Park
- Big Wills Creek
Samples were not collected at the following locations due to weather:
- Rainbow Landing
- Ten Islands Historic Park (Neely Henry Dam)
