NEWS: Sierra Club Wyoming announces new Chapter Director

Sierra Club Wyoming is pleased to announce that Rob Joyce will be our new Chapter Director, effective immediately. Rob has been working for Sierra Club in Wyoming for the past six years as a conservation organizer, focusing on wildlife, wildlands protection, and energy issues.  Originally from Pennsylvania, he has lived in Wyoming since 2007, when he moved here to attend the University of Wyoming to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Geography. Rob gained his Master’s Degree in Planning and Environment and Natural Resources in 2018, and since then has worked on numerous local, statewide, and regional environmental campaigns including public land protection, ending our reliance on fossil fuels, and ensuring that Wyoming’s transition to clean energy is equitable for Wyoming workers and families.

As Chapter Director, Rob will lead our staff, Board, and grassroots volunteers to advance the Sierra Club's priority work to protect undeveloped wild landscapes, ensure that wildlife remains abundant, healthy, and free ranging by safeguarding key habitats, and hasten the end of fossil fuel mining, drilling, and burning as we transition to responsibly produced clean, renewable energy.

Please join us in welcoming our new Director, Rob Joyce.  Rob can be reached at rob.joyce@sierraclub.org.
