The Sierra Club is a democratically run organization, with an all-volunteer board of 15 directors elected by you, the members. Each spring, five candidates are elected for a three-year term. Here are this year’s results:  

LOREN BLACKFORD (28,896 votes), clean energy investor, activist, and previous board member

NATALIE LUCAS (28,712 votes), executive director of Care About the Climate, equity chair of the Missouri Chapter 

RAMÓN CRUZ (28,510 votes), environmental policy and advocacy expert, previous deputy director of Puerto Rico's environmental regulatory agency 

JIM DOUGHERTY (28,295 votes), environmental lawyer, D.C. Chapter conservation chair, and previous board member 

PETER SARGENT (27,114 votes), Beyond Coal organizer and cofounder of Wild Climate
