Volcanic eruptions attract lightning. Here's what it looks like.

Lightning plays in the ash plume of Iceland's Eyjafjallajöekull volcano in April 2010. Scientists may soon be able to predict the size of an ash cloud based on the frequency of volcanic lightning early in an eruption.
