Camille Seaman started out as a portraitist, went on to photograph icebergs, and then, at the suggestion of her daughter, became a storm chaser. "I found myself stalking a single type of giant cloud called the supercell, capable of producing grapefruit-sized hail and spectacular tornadoes. What really excites me about these storms is their movement, the way they swirl and spin and undulate. They become lovely monsters."
