Ahead of COP27 next week, I'm advising that Sierra Club President Ramon Cruz, Sierra Club International Climate and Policy Director Cherelle Blazer, Sierra Club Director of Policy, Advocacy, and Legal Leslie Fields, and Sierra Club International Climate Policy Advisor Steve Herz will be in Sharm El-Sheikh and available for interview.

During the COP, our delegation will be attending meetings and events in the Blue and Green Zones both weeks, sharing content and posting videos on the Sierra Club’s social media channels, and closely tracking the progress on the negotiations. Our staff are experts and can provide commentary on the US midterm elections, US climate policy, the Inflation Reduction Act, Loss and Damage, the global coal phase-out, domestic and international environmental justice, climate finance, and more.

If you’ll be in Sharm El-Sheikh or covering the COP remotely, Ramon, Cherelle, Leslie, and Steve will be available for in-person and virtual interviews. The best way to coordinate interviews will be to reach out to me via WhatsApp (+1-412-999-8223) or email (cindy.carr@sierraclub.org)
