Maryland poll finds broad support for phasing out coal & transitioning to clean energy

Results of a new survey conducted by the bipartisan polling team of Hart Research Associates (D) and Ferguson Research (R) demonstrate that voters in Maryland strongly support their state transitioning away from coal and to clean, renewable energy sources. Furthermore, voters favor setting a schedule to phase out the remaining six coal-fired power plants in the state. Voters see many benefits of moving to clean, renewable energy, including improving air and water quality and public health, and having a positive effect on jobs and the economy in Maryland.
