Celebrate Laramie Emissions Reduction Plan
WIN for Laramie: Members of the Laramie City Council voted unanimously last month to adopt a framework for meeting the City's 2050 Carbon Neutrality commitment. The Emissions Reduction Plan will now serve as a resource for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving energy efficiency in municipal facilities, and maintaining forward momentum toward the City's 10, 20, and 30-year goals of getting to carbon neutral. Adoption of the plan comes after years of hard work and collaboration between the City planning office, UW graduate research assistant Corrine Scieszka, Laramie's Alliance for Renewable Energy, members of the community, and Sierra Club Wyoming supporters like you!
Want to make sure Wyoming is taking full advantage of our federal dollars and lowering our dependence on fossil fuels? On May 21st at 5 p.m., Sierra Club will host a letter-writing workshop with members and supporters from all across the country to support each other’s work and to encourage our states to bring home funds from the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) to support energy efficiency and conservation.
