Urban Trees, Climate Resiliency and a Campfire Conversation

Join us as we gather in person for our first monthly program this fall!  Hear a brief presentation on Trees and Urban Forests from forester Dan Buckler, learn more about key Sierra Club campaigns including Line 3 and Kohler-Andrae, as well as the City-County Task Force on Climate and Economic Equity, and celebrate gathering in person around a campfire.

We've reserved the Redwood Picnic Area at Hawthorne Glen Outdoor Education Center, where we can comfortably spread out. There is a shelter with picnic tables. You may bring non-alcoholic beverages or a snack for your personal consumption. Remember that sunset is before 7:30!

Register here (or at the Calendar page to the right) so we know how many people are coming and to get any updates. (We have a shelter in case it rains.)

We hope to see  you soon!

Hawthorne Glen is at 1211 N 60th St., Milwaukee. The entrance is on N. 60th off State St. just west of Hawley Road.

Note: Sierra Club guidance strongly recommends masking at outdoor events, especially when social distancing can not be maintained.  Unvaccinated persons are required to wear a mask at outdoor and indoor activities.
