Week of Climate Action runs Aug. 3-7

Join us virtually for a Week of Climate Action Aug. 3-7! We will learn how  dirty coal plants, such as a We Energies plan in Oak Creek, are costing us dearly in terms of our health, our economy and the environment.

Monday: Join us for an online screening of the documentary We Neighbors, about Wisconsinites living next to the Oak Creek/Elm Road coal plants. Afterwardsstay for an informative presentation by pulmonologist Dr. Linus Santo Tomas about the effects of coal on health, as well as a panel discussion featuring health care professionals and clean energy advocates. Tuesday: What is coal costing you? Share your own story! Record a short video of yourself to tell us how coal impacts you and your community. We’ll bring our voices together to show the scale of the harm fossil fuels cause.

Wednesday: We can’t afford to wait!  Speak up now about the Public Service Commission's Strategic Energy Assessment and demand the closure of Wisconsin’s remaining six coal plants.
