May Program: Update on City-County Task Force on Climate Change

Join the Great Waters Group's for our May 18 program — online. Barbara Richards will provide a review of the Preliminary Report and listening session for the Milwaukee Joint City County Task Force on Climate and Economic Equity. Barbara is the  co-chair of the Great Waters Group's Conservation Committee and represents us on the task force. The task force is made up of county and city elected officials, staff and volunteers from local nonprofits, and community residents. They have been meeting since the fall to generate suggestions for city and county governments on actions that they can take to equitably address climate change.

This event will take place via Zoom. For online security reasons, you must sign up in advance. Upon registration you will be sent a Zoom link with login instructions.

Note: The originally scheduled May program about forest preservation with the Friends of the Black River Forest  and the canceled March panel discussion on food waste will be rescheduled for fall.
