47 Joined our Conversation on Environmental Equity!

Amid a warming planet and national political gridlock, environmental activists are advocating for local environmental policies that will improve our urban quality of life. At this Thursday evening event, we addressed these questions:

- How does institutional racism affect environmental issues in communities of color?

- How can we overcome invisible biases and build an environmental movement that is inclusive, welcoming, and embraces diverse voices in leadership?

We noshed on great food from Funky Fresh Spring Rolls and filled seven tables with lively conversation.  Our next step is to take our "Ideas into Action" with a grant application to the Greater Milwaukee Foundation.
