October Monthly Program: The Energy Innovation & Carbon Dividend Act
Mike Jury and Phil Smith, volunteers from Citizens’ Climate Lobby, gave a presentation on the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act and why they believe a current bill in Congress would represent a major first step towards solving climate change. Both presenters are retired environmental engineers and are now volunteers for Citizens’ Climate Lobby, a nonpartisan organization focused on working towards a national solution on climate change.
Join us to learn more about various views on addressing climate change.
Note the change in location, Central United Methodist Church. The church, which a member has graciously secured for us, is at 639 N. 25th St. on the corner with Wisconsin. There's a parking lot on 25th, easily accessed from the 25th St. exit off I-94, and street parking is also available. Carpooling is encouraged, as always. We'll be back at the Wauwatosa Library in November.
