Science March on Washington and Sister Events

 

Join the Appleton Science March on April 22 at 3:00pm. The event begins with a rally and speeches at the Lawrence University Chapel.  It continues with a march on the sidewalk to Houdini Plaza for a rally of signs and posters and being visible to traffic.  Houdini Plaza is approximately six blocks to the west.

The Science March is idea that exploded overnight after a scientist tweeted, "Hell hath no fury like a scientist silenced."

The March for Science is an international movement, led by organizers distributed around the globe. This movement is taking place because of the simultaneous realization by thousands of  people who value science in their lives that staying silent is no longer an option. There are marches being planned across the United States and internationally.

Please bring a banner or sign and prepare to be visible to traffic and maybe help make some fun noise. We are not blocking the streets or sidewalks. This is a friendly event,

Read up on science issues, climate change, other environmental issues and come up with a clever sign to help share the idea. Issues include climate change, the EPA, the DNR, clean environment, renewable energy.

Parking is NOT available on College Avenue near the site of this rally.
There is plenty of parking along the streets to the north of College Avenue.
