The Wilder, Bellows Falls, and Vernon hydro-electric facilities on the Connecticut River started the process of securing new operating licenses from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in 2012. Final license applications were submitted in December 2020. While Great River Hydro, the owner, proposed operational changes for their three dams that will result in a big win for the river, there are more opportunities to advocate for regarding recreation, fish passage, and cultural properties.
