The city of Montpelier is about to embark on an on-demand micro-transit program to replace the Montpelier Circulator. Instead, of a traditional fixed-route transit system, riders will be able to hail a van to take them anywhere with in the city. Micro transit and other innovative transportation plans are being looked at throughout Vermont. The Sierra Club hosted Ross MacDonald, Public Transit Program Manager Vermont Agency of Transportation and Dan Jones, Executive Director of Sustainable Montpelier to discuss how Vermont's rural communities can adopt micro-transit as a transportation solution.
