The Vermont Chapter is sad that the former Vermont House Transportation Committee Chair Curt McCormack has recently passed away. Curt was a vital ally of the Chapter, and in 2021 the Chapter honored him with a legislative award.
As an activist, Curt intentionally stopped driving a car in 2003 and walked, biked, and used transit for all his transportation needs. Vermont Chapter Conservation Program Manager Robb Kidd was asked to honor Curt at the Energy Action Network Conference in Vermont. He stated "Curt was more than just someone telling people they need to do something, he went out and did it himself; he truly walked the talk. Let's honor Curt by doing the same."
