Why our campaign goal is important. The Sierra Club is campaigning to address transportation's impact on our to climate. The vision is to have a transportation system that is accessible, affordable, and equitable. Making Vermont's roads safe for bikes and pedestrians and other vulnerable users, We can reduce single occupancy vehicle miles traveled and therefore reduce carbon emissions.

If you are not able to participate in this specific outing, we also want to host a variety of other outings, but we need participants like you to lead. These outings aim to educate and encourage environmental awareness and promote opportunities for everyone to experience the transformative power of the outdoors. We are also interested in coordinating with members of the general public who are willing to help us host these outings or even create new ones based on general interest.

The Sierra Club is also especially looking for people to help with outings located in the Burlington area and the Upper Valley, both on and off-bike. Read here about a recent and successful outing that happened in Addison County. Outings provide an opportunity for everyone to get outside and connect people with the great outdoors and the Sierra Club’s priority campaigns.

If you are interested in connecting with us, please reach out to me, the Vermont Conservation Program Manager at robb.kidd@sierraclub.org.
