The Sierra Club appreciates that Governor Scott sees the opportunities for electrification of Vermont's transportation choices. The Sierra Club in Vermont has worked with legislative leaders and administrative officials to advance vehicle electrification, and we are glad to see an agreement on this issue.
The Governor's proclamation declaring this week as Drive Electric Week is an essential step to transition to clean transportation. Whether riding an E-Bike, getting to work with an EV or an Electic-Bus, or using an electric-powered vehicle for work it is the right thing to do for the environment, economy, and equity.
