Volunteering and Petitioning to Transition to Clean Transportation

The Vermont Sierra Club is launching a petition to Governor Scott encouraging the transition of vehicle electrification. While Vermont has made some good steps we need to match the scale of the climate crisis. We are launching an online petition and a paper version of the petition for to achieve success we will have to reach beyond our traditional Sierra Club contacts and connect with Vermonters. That is where we could use your help.

As we plan on engaging Vermonters with National Drive Electric Week(Sep 24-Oct 3), we will be accumulating signatures for this petition. On October 3 we will be setting up a display on the State House Lawn representing each petition signature, so the more signatures the better.

Can you gather signatures at local events, at your place of business, or help us at one of the many Drive Electric events in September? Please email robb.kidd@sierraclub.org to offer to help us.

All Sierra Club volunteers and staff are required to wear masks and to follow safety protocols to prevent the spread of COVID 19. As the Delta variant possesses greater risks and uncertainties this guidance is recommended for both the vaccinated and unvaccinated.
