A group of southern Nevada residents gathered via Zoom last week as part of our efforts to jumpstart Sierra Club local outings in our area. It was great to see some new faces and to talk about potential outings and favorite places in the region. Now that the worst of the pandemic is over, outings are fully open and the previous restrictions largely lifted. We would love some help getting our friends and neighbors enjoying our region’s beauty!

Even if you missed our gathering, you can still help out with SNG Outings! Outings can take many forms; anything from hikes of all levels of difficulty to bike trips to snowshoeing to group walks to explore our local parks. Let’s get out there! If you are interested in volunteering with our Outings program, we have training opportunities coming up very soon! All trainings, including Red Cross First Aid/CPR certification, are free to those who volunteer as Outings leaders!
