Two Donner Lake Snowshoe Trips Scheduled for February 2024

Through a partnership with Donner Memorial State Park, two Reno ICO High School Adventure Groups have scheduled snowshoe trips, hiking from the Visitor Center to Donner Lake. We are grateful to the State Park for providing bus parking, a warm indoor environment for organizing our gear and eating our lunch.  But most importantly, the park supports us with a ranger who provides human and natural history presentations on our hike.

Reno ICO provides all participants with snowshoes, poles, boots, and all the clothing necessary for a safe, warm, and fun time on their hike. This will be the first time using snowshoes for the vast majority of youth. In addition, Reno ICO provides financial support to groups for transportation and food.
