Dear Friend,
Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to defend our public lands, wildlife, air, water, and communities from climate change, development, and corporate greed. When times are hard, take care of yourself. Enjoy the breeze on your face, the smell of flowers, laughter with friends, and a few minutes, hours, or days unplugged from the news. Then come back and join Toiyabe Chapter activists as we work to make a better world. Here are are few of our latest goings on.

SCOTUS Rulings Endanger Us All
As you have probably heard, the Supreme Court has seriously limited the EPA’s authority to reduce carbon pollution from power plants. And it has endangered the lives of millions of women by overturning Roe v. Wade.
What are the implications of the EPA ruling? Learn from the experts in this excellent analysis in Sierra Magazine.
On the abortion front, no one should ever be forced to choose between raising a child in a neighborhood with lead-tainted water, polluted air, and sweltering heat or not having a child.
Although Sierra Club is not a reproductive rights organization, we will follow the lead of those who are. And we are well-positioned to tackle the environmental challenges that put millions of mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters at risk.
Learn why Environmental Justice is part of Reproductive Justice from Sierra Club's Managing Director Eva Hernandez-Simmons.
What both of these decisions mean is that elections and local politics matter. We must elect champions who will secure a safe and healthy future for all. And we must engage with those leaders to demand laws that achieve these ends.
