Events
Do you like planning fun events, or helping with events?
When it comes to fundraising, getting a little creative can go a long way! Fund-raising and awareness events can be small or big. We have some ideas in the works and need a few volunteers to help make them successful.
Bring your ideas. Do you swear by a fundraising scheme that has worked in the past? Let’s plan it - Picnics with corn-hole and competitions, Guess the Wine Challenge, Art Show, Trivia Contest?

Political Committee
Our sustainable future depends on electing environmental champions who will fight for the policies we need. The Toiyabe Chapter’s Political Committee is dedicated to supporting champion candidates and priority races that matter. Candidate filing deadlines are fast approaching, and the races to primaries and the general election are going to be heating up. You can make a difference supporting your favorite candidates in your district or anywhere in the state. Elections matter. A few hours each month can make a difference in November. Join this team!
Legislative Committee
If the Nevada Legislature is going to pass the climate action, public lands protection, environmental justice, and other important bills we need to see at next year’s Nevada Legislature, the work starts now--researching the policies we want to see, meeting with experts and partner organizations, and earning the support of legislative champions. All of this takes work. Are you willing to work to create a better future? Join this team!
Training Coordinator
Sierra Club National and our partners have created and provide useful trainings for our leaders and volunteers. A Training Coordinator would find pertinent courses at Sierra Club, or work with our local experts to design them, and then implement the training with our Chapter activists. We need a project manager for our Chapter teams as we develop 2-3 trainings for Chapter leaders and activists. 8-10 hrs/month. Join this Team!
These are just a few of the volunteer opportunities available. A lot more is happening, and you can be a part of the change you want to see in the world. Volunteer today!
