SIERRA CLUB ENDORSES CLINT KOBLE
Nation’s Largest Grassroots Environmental Group Praises
Koble’s Work to Protect Nevada’s Environment
The Toiyabe Chapter of the Sierra Club today announced its organization's endorsement of Clint Koble to represent Nevada’s 2nd Congressional District in the 2018 election.
"We are pleased to support Clint Koble for Congress," said Chapter Director Brian Beffort. “We are confident he will work to protect Nevada’s families’ health, air and water, and build a clean energy economy that works for Nevadans."
“We are impressed with Clint’s extensive experience in rural Nevada as Executive Director of both the U.S. Department of Agriculture Farm Services Agency and the Nevada Rural Development Council. “He understands the issues important to our region, especially the rural areas.”
“Koble understands the importance to Nevadans of protecting our public lands, preventing them from being sold off to the highest bidder, and keeping them accessible for recreational use. He understands that Nevada has the potential to be a leader in renewable energy and understands the economic development benefits of that move,” said Macquarie.
“In this era of increased political polarization, we are especially impressed with Koble’s ability to talk to and find common ground with all the northern Nevadans he seeks to represent, from conservationists to ranchers to city dwellers,” said Macquarie. “He will be a fresh voice in Washington and we strongly support his candidacy.”
Along with the endorsement, the Sierra Club will lend its volunteer strength to Koble’s campaign.
