The Lone Star Chapter Is Hiring!

We're hiring a chapter communications manager

The Sierra Club Lone Star Chapter is hiring a Chapter Communications Manager to support our work to defend clean water from oil & gas pollution, organize for a clean and resilient electric grid, and build power for everyday Texans and our environment.

The job has statewide responsibilities for managing our digital platforms (website, social media, mass email, etc.), leading our campaign teams on campaign messaging and narrative development, coordinating and earning press coverage, and creating content to use in our grassroots organizing. The salary range is $70,000-$73,000 per year.

We are looking for a candidate with experience and skills managing a broad communications program. Specific skill sets like earned media coverage are good, but only one aspect of who we are looking for. The ideal candidate would be able to shape and oversee more comprehensive communication strategies not only for our advocacy campaigns, but also for the Lone Star Chapter’s brand and visibility in Texas.

Please share with your networks as we are looking to quickly fill this role to enhance our team of dedicated staff, volunteers, and partners across the state. This is a great opportunity to work alongside the Chapter’s rockstar organizing and policy teams to build power and win change in Texas.
