Exports Campaign Manager
The Sierra Club is hiring an exports campaign manager to add capacity to our work to stop the oil and gas industry's expansion to new markets -- by blocking oil and gas export proposals, many for facilities in communities of color along the TX and LA Gulf Coast. We are looking for a great candidate to join our team to stop these risky projects and protect our communities and climate. View the job description and apply here. Clean Energy Organizer
The Clean Energy Organizer will be the lead advocate for Sierra Club efforts to build support for a just transition to 100% clean energy for all and clean transportation (electrification) in the Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and South Texas. The organizer will work alongside Sierra Club staff to educate Sierra Club members and supporters, partners, and government staff & officials about policy pillars for a just and equitable transition to clean energy, and leverage Sierra Club campaign resources to build a self-sustaining network of clean energy activists in the region. Work will occur in specific communities throughout the region, including Brownsville and the Public Utilities Board, Magic Valley Electric Coop, and other public electric cooperatives in South Texas that make up the South Texas Electric Cooperative, CPS Energy in San Antonio, and in collaboration with various national and state internal departments and programs, partner organizations, and volunteer leadership to support strategic coordinated campaign work. The organizer will be responsible for recruiting, engaging, and motivating large numbers of new people to take repeated action which will further Sierra Club’s targeted campaign or program goals.
