Lindsay joins Sierra Club’s Lone Star Chapter with a passion for communications and the environment. She previously was an Austin-based freelance writer covering wildlife, water, ecosystem, criminal justice, and other issues for the Austin Chronicle, Texas Observer, Edible Austin, and additional publications.
Lindsay grew up in the country, where her connection to the environment began, and she later fell in love with journalism while attending the University of Texas at Austin. She has worked in the profession, mainly writing and editing for nonprofits and state agencies, for 15 years. She most recently served as managing editor at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, where she worked on materials dealing with COVID-19 and other public health issues and services.
Lindsay is thrilled to join the Sierra Club and combine her skills with her desire to impact the environment and the people of Texas. In her time off, Lindsay enjoys hanging out with her husband, toddler, two dogs, and cat.
