We're Hiring! Lone Star Chapter Seeks Environmental Communications Intern

Are you passionate about climate justice? Are you looking to hone your communication skills and learn the ins-and-outs of nonprofit work? We have just the internship for you. The Sierra Club's Lone Star Chapter is seeking an Environmental Communications Intern!

The Environmental Communications Intern will work with our Communications Coordinator to create and promote social media content, write and edit content for our website, blog, and email sends, develop strong messaging for our various campaigns around Texas, and assist in creating or promoting press materials, among other duties. This position is a great opportunity to learn how to use your creativity strategically! 

This is a PAID position of $15/hour for approximately 20 hours a week. Due to the Covid-19 emergency and the length and impact of the emergency is still so unknown, as well as Sierra Club’s commitment to protecting community health, this internship may be a work from home position. 

This is your chance to put policy advocacy, organizing, and intercultural communication principles into practice through the crafting of communications strategies for a variety of environmental justice issues. The ideal candidate for this internship has strong writing abilities, ability to think creatively, good organizational skills, and a passion for the environment and social justice.
