Matt and Cyrus take a walk to discuss what goes on in the early days inside the palatial Texas Capitol, including committee assignments, the budget, and bills. As the 86th Legislature proceeds, the Sierra Club will tackle clean air programs, clean energy, water conservation, parks and wildlife, and more.
There are many committees crucial to protecting the environment: Environmental Regulations, Energy Resources, Natural Resources, and Water, and many more. The state budget bill is one of the most anticipated as funding for environmental issues will be determined from there.
