The South-central Partnership for Energy Efficiency as a Resource doesn't just have the coolest acronym in the energy efficiency industry - SPEER - it is also the hub for knowledge and expertise on energy efficiency for utilities and energy providers in Texas and Oklahoma. We're a proud member of SPEER. Have been for a long time, and are excited to promote its annual summit in Austin in February.
SPEER’s Annual Summit will be held at the Westin in Downtown Austin on February 7-8, 2017. The SPEER Summit is the premier energy efficiency event for Texas and Oklahoma. In addition to excellent keynote presentations, the format includes breakout sessions for deep dives into utility programs, building energy codes, efficiency financing, distributed generation, efficiency in electric markets, demand response, local government initiatives and much more.

Why does this matter? Energy efficiency is the most affordable investment your utility can make. It means building homes, businesses, and technologies to get more out of the electricity they use. Spending less and getting more also means less pollution from old dirty power plants because utilities don't need to run them as much, which is good for Texas communities and the planet.
