I was very impressed with the turnout for the Solidarity March II. All participants were polite and respectful and a large number were members of the Society of Native Nations. About 150 people were present at the Marfa Lights viewing station and more than 50 marched the two miles to where the trenching was being done to place the [Trans-Pecos] gas pipeline under Hwy. 90. The Native participants from several locations in Texas were very articulate in expressing their opposition to the pipeline and in their support for those in North Dakota who are protesting Kelcy Warrens Dakota Access pipeline. This is the second march organized by Lori Glover of our Big Bend Group and she deserves most of the credit for the success of the marches.
