Make plans to attend Cherokee Group's final public presentation of 2023. We are welcoming Green|Spaces new Executive Director, Rick Bowers. Rick is a Chattanooga native. After graduating college at Tulane and law school from Western Michigan University, Rick remained in the Detroit area, building a wide-ranging career in environmental law and public policy.
Green|spaces has been a dedicated partner in Chattanooga's conservation landscape. Rick will share his experience and expertise, as well as his vision for the area's environmental future.
As always, the presentation is free and open to the public. All are welcome! It takes place at the Philip Grymes Outdoor Chattanooga Center.
Start 2024 off right! Put on your calender to come and enjoy the widely popular annual Cherokee Group New Year's Event at Audubon Acres in Chattanooga. This much cherished, family-friendly tradition is a mix of great food, outdoor activity, and environmental planning at Audubon Acres’ cozy cabin in the woods; roaring fire guaranteed! It happens on January 7th, 2024 @ 4 to 8pm ET.
Comprised mostly of merry-making and fun, there is a little planning and dreaming at the end, including electing 2024 Cherokee Group officers. The dinner is potluck, so break out your favorite dish to share (vegan, vegetarian, and food sensitivities/allergies all considered). Not much of a cook or burned out from holiday chef duty? Come anyway and enjoy!
