Tennessee Valley Canoe Club Monday, April 26 at 7:00pm via Zoom
Fellow Cherokee Sierran David Riall and his wife Dixie will be introducing us to Tennessee Valley Canoe Club (TVCC). They will share about what they do, highlighting their conservation pledge and projects TVCC has committed to in order to take care of the waters they play in. On top of recreation and conservation, TVCC is involved in influencing legislation actions alongside the American Canoe Association. Join us to learn about this great group and its efforts to preserve our local waterways!
May Program: Reflection Riding Monday, May 24 at 7:00pm via Zoom
Mark McKnight, President/CEO, of Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center will update us on what RRA&NC is up to. He will also talk about how they are extending their outreach beyond their historical audience.
The Chapter Conservation Committees have been reorganized to be a more effective agent in supporting the Sierra Club Mission. The 20+ committees which potentially existed have been replaced by 6. Most committees now have chairs, but we are looking for members!
