Philip Pugliese, Transportation System Planner for the Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA), will speak about CARTA’s clean energy efforts and its participation in a U.S. Department of Energy innovative research effort to benefit Chattanooga and other cities. This project enables the development and evaluation of tools to promote energy efficiency within a mobility-as-a-service transportation model in a mid-sized city.

Pugliese joined CARTA in 2017 as Transportation System Planner and has been actively involved in multimodal transportation projects in Chattanooga for over 15 years. Working under CARTA guidance, he has worked on expanding CARTA’s offering of transportation solutions for the community and is now actively engaged in the planning and evolution of our city’s transport.
