A ground squirrel avoids becoming a rattlesnake's dinner
A three-foot-long rattlesnake had been lying in a sand pit for days, waiting for its chance to snatch a meal. This ground squirrel escaped so fast, the photographer could barely get the shot with a GoPro running at 30 frames per second. The failed strike took just one-sixth of a second.
