Tomorrow (March 15th), the Bay Area Air District is voting on proposed amendments to two rules that limit nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions from gas furnaces and water heaters. The proposed amendments are a first-in-the-nation opportunity to make a commitment to clean and healthy air here in the Bay Area, as gas appliances are a major driver of unhealthy air quality. Phasing out the sale of these appliances will deliver enormous climate and health benefits, but we need your help to show the Air District that we support this transition.
