The San Francisco Bay is a vital asset that we all share. Wherever we live in the Bay Area, we all have a stake in what happens to it.

The San Francisco Bay is an enormously complex and important ecosystem. It is the largest estuary on the west coast of the continental U.S., and is considered to be an estuary of international significance.

Bay experts believe sea level rise - and how our region responds - is the single greatest overarching threat to the San Francisco Bay. The health of our communities, our wildlife, and our Earth depend on urgent action not only to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, but also to adapt to climate-driven threats with resilient solutions.
