What does it take to find 3 bike wheels, a vinyl record, 2 golf clubs and superman underwear?  About 72 volunteers who took these and a more than a 1,000 lb of other trash out of the Santa Clara River Gateway site at Coastal Clean Up Day.  Imagine 1054 lb of junk not getting to the beach and not going into the ocean.  If that’s not reward enough, we gave out some fun perks such as 2 for 1 miniature golf game coupons, Chick Fil A sandwiches, and Coastal Cone ice cream discount tokens.  Big thanks to the best volunteers anywhere!
