Drought Tolerant Plants
The monthly meeting of the Los Serranos Group of the Sierra Club is Tuesday, May 17, at 7:00 PM. Join us for a panel discussion on planning for growing drought tolerant plants. Meeting is held upstairs in the First Presbyterian Church Education building, 869 N. Euclid Ave, Upland, take the left side stairs. New members and the public are welcome. Our program for the May 17th meeting will feature a panel discussion on planning for growing drought tolerant plants. The four panelists are all active members of the Los Serranos group of the Sierra Club. Nancy Rutherford is a long time active member of the California Native Plant Society. Mary Ann Ruiz is the chair of the San Gorgonio chapter of the Sierra Club, the former chair of the Los Serranos group, and is a board member of the Sierra Club California. Patty Lindberg was the librarian at the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Gardens and is currently active with the Claremont Sustainable Gardening Club. Janice Elliott started the native plant gardening club at the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Gardens. All four panelists have drought tolerant gardens and are highly knowledgable and passionate about ecological gardening.
