Sex in Our Garden!
The monthly meeting of the Los Serranos Group of the Sierra Club is Tuesday, February 17th, at 7:00 PM. Eric Garton - Director of Visitor Services and Community Education at the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden in Claremont presents a program about flower pollination. Meeting is held upstairs in the First Presbyterian Church Education building, 869 N. Euclid Ave, Upland, take the left side stairs. New members and the public are welcome.
We know birds do it. Bees do it, too. But have you ever stopped to think about beautiful and innocent-looking flowers doing it? In the forests, in the fields, by streams, even alongside the freeways and most certainly in our gardens… Pollination is happening all around us all the time! Eric Garton, Director of Visitor Services and Community Education at Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden presents this fun, educational and lighthearted look at the amazing diversity of flowers and pollination strategies they have acquired over time with their pollinators to be successful.
